Operational Intelligence Part 2 - Destroyer summary.

There’s also extra tidbits from unreleased, still CN-server only chapters and events. They’re just some extra addendum about his younger days where he was technically not THE Flamebringer yet. Optional to know, but hey, backstory is a backstory after all.
- Young Flamebringer was raised in an unfortunate environment of Kazimierz where he was made a slave. Just like another operator, Gravel, it’s made obvious by the barcode mark around his left wrist that still exists to his current reiteration. He was freed by a group of mercenary soon after, thankfully. It was at that point that he met with W, who in the present time is working as double-agent for Rhodes Island and Reunion.
- Within the group of mercenary, Flamebringer grew into a formidable swordsman and he was even given the codename of ‘Swordmaster’.
- After that, they kinda got into the same line of work as the main character (called as the doctor) pre-amnesia in Babel and even worked together. Some stuff happened and Flamebringer grew to respect the doctor as his new captain after certain incident that cost him his squad. Yes, this was also where he kinda got ~edgy~ and love blood and shit.
- Swordmaster did got some big names under his kill list already at this point. The royals of Kazimierz that enslaved his younger self was one of the many.
- More important shit happened™, mainly Babel Civil War where Shit Went Down and Rhodes Island became an actual thing.
- With Babel in ruins and the doctor deemed KIA (though in reality, they just had amnesia and was presumably hidden by Kal'tsit), Swordmaster who lost his aspiration decided to just throw the codename and walked the earth around Terra.
- This was where he started to don his new codename Flamebringer and got MORE head counts, but more importantly, where he looted his current favorite katana from one of unnamed Higashi’s general. Apparently, he travelled from country to country just to either fight or kill strong people out of pure boredom.
- The next time we saw him was on the Operational Intelligence event where he was infamously known as the Wandering Sarkaz Warrior due to how terrorizing his existence had been. You might want to refer to the link provided above for the rest of the details.

PERSONALITY:

At a first glance, Flamebringer is your typical tall, hot bishonen who usually sports a confident grin. At a second glance, he is still your typical tall, hot bishonen who sports a confident grin, but he is also confidently grinning while kicking the asses of monsters, Infecteds, Reunions, or even his teammates when he's feeling like it.

One of the strongest traits Flamebringer has is his sense of self. He is self-assured even to the point that he sounds arrogant, and has a VERY distorted zest for life and all that it brings - while he is an obvious, giant thrill-seeker, what Flamebringer looks for in stuff is the process rather than the result. This is more often than not proved by the way he fights - he’s so battlecrazed that he put a lot of shonen characters to shame. I assure you that he doesn’t joke around about his way of life. Hell, he’s perfectly fine with getting killed in the end just as long as he gets to enjoy every single moment of the battles. It also works in vice-versa as more often than not, he just left his weaker opponent to run with their tails between their legs if they didn’t give him the thrill of the fights.

It needs to be emphasized once more that Flamebringer is a veteran, experienced operator and he sports the aura of one. Though not as veteran as, let’s say Hellagur or Rangers, his share of war experience was quite a rollercoaster on its own. From the way he acts around the Rhodes Island base or just from the way he talks, you can already tell that the countenance of an experienced warrior is there. 99% of the time, the words that slip out of his mouth consist of things that revolve around his past combat experience or his tips on how to survive incoming fights, or who he likes to fight… or what kind of fight that he looks for in Rhodes Island, yada yada… You know the drill.

In a sense, Flamebringer is not a very people person. A lot of operators seem to think that Flamebringer possess this mysterious atmosphere around him, and this is backed up by reports in the Archive. The reports aren’t baseless as he does act like a man with handful of secrets on his shoulders most of the time. Perhaps it’s due to his very dark past as a slave and a famed (in a wrongest way possible) killer of noblemen, veteran soldiers, and even kings, but Flamebringer knows not to let people safe for those who are very close with him know the unnecessary information. That, and perhaps knowing too much would make his talking partner uncomfortable as well. Hey, he’s Edgy as Fuck but he’s not by any means a cruel person. At least when he’s not jumping into a field operation - God helps you if you found Flamebringer on the opposite end of the battlefield.

Surprisingly, Flamebringer does have a nicer side to him. Believe it or not, while he act like he doesn’t really care about the other operators in Rhodes Island, he does have a soft spot for them. In fact, he does have some spot for those who shared a battlefield with him in general . For instance, he is insanely overprotective whenever they failed an operation, citing that they should make a run for it while he holds off the pursuers by himself. You can also hear some regret from his tone whenever he was put as a captain of the operation, saying that it didn’t end well for him the last time he was put into the position. Not only that, his hobby is literally gardening. If that’s not a drastic contrast to Flamebringer’s usual impression, I don’t know what anymore.

tldr, he’s ~OW THE EDGE~ character with a twist. Is he being done right about it? Well, I’ll leave it to you.

POWERS/ABILITIES:
- Swordsmanship : I could go for a long thesis about this but let me just point out this - He was so fucking good at fighting with sword that his codename was literally ‘Swordmaster’ before he changed it to Flamebringer after a certain incident. With his swords in his side, he even managed to kill a lot of important people: war generals, crown princes and kings included.
- This Motherfucker Just Won’t Die : This is also another of Flamebringer’s strongest point. He’s resilient, as fuck. He can endure stuffs even from his younger days and it translate really well to his present life. This is reflected from his in-game status as the HIGHEST HP Guard (at least so far), and his talent Blood Pack, where he increases his HP for every single unit that he killed, only reinforce this even harder.

Aside of those two of his main selling points, while Flamebringer does have decent talent for originium arts, he never seems to bother going balls deep learning about it. The thing that he does, man, pretty simple and straightforward - killing his enemies with his blades… But boy is he fucking excellent at it.

There’s also an extra one that is totally important and unimportant at the same time:
- Actually pretty good at gardening that he could probably speedrun Stardew Valley IRL : which is self-explanatory. Surprising, I know.

INVENTORY:
- A gardening set which consist of a small shovel and a small watering can.
- A hoe. An actual hoe. Not that kind of hoe though I wish I could stuff dem hoes into his inventory.
- Some LMD, Arknights’ banknote, though they won’t see any use here. At least he can hang it on the wall in his home or something, I guess.
- His two swords : The bigger one that he always use to go on rampage, and the other katana that he keeps by his waist all the time.
